Bede Academy have risen to the challenge to fund raise for St Oswald’s Hospice, and be part of the Elmer Elephant Parade that will be held in the North East later this year.

We have committed to sponsoring our very own mini-Elmer and Bede South students have led the way with some stunning designs. Such was the breadth and originality we combined ideas into a final overall design and therefore we have numerous winners who will be named on the finished sculpture. A tremendous fundraising effort has begun with £372 raised so far and we hope for more to come as our Elmer is being produced at Bede North by Y12 students.

St Oswald’s Hospice will also become the focus our fundraising effort in tutor groups at Bede North until the end of the summer term with students and staff challenged to make a difference for a very worthy cause. Parents can also make a contribution on behalf of their child via the Parent pay portal, should they wish, to support St Oswald’s Hospice through our fundraising.
