Bede Academy is a 3-19 all through Academy with Emmanuel Schools Foundation Multi Academy Trust (ESF MAT) as the admitting authority. The Academy participates fully in the Local Authority’s co-ordinated admission schemes all admissions. All applications for places must be made directly to Northumberland County Council on the appropriate Common Application Form (CAF). The CAF and supporting information will be available electronically on Northumberland Country Council’s website (www.northumberland.gov.uk) or in paper form on request from Northumberland County Council.

Catchment Area
The catchment area for admission to the Primary Years (Reception to Year 6) is not the same as the catchment area for the Secondary Years (Years 7-11). The Secondary catchment is larger and includes all of the Primary catchment within it.

Bede Academy operates a waiting list for children wishing to join the Academy. Each added child will require the list to be re-ranked in line with our published over-subscription criteria.
Year 7 admissions appeals for September 2022 intake:
- The deadline for receipt of appeals is 30 March 2022.
- All on time appeals to be heard by 17 June 2022.
- Parents will be given 10 school days’ notice of the date of their appeal hearing.
Reception admissions appeals for September 2022 intake:
- The deadline for receipt of appeals is 19 May 2022.
- All on time appeals to be heard by 16 July 2022.
- Parents will be given 10 school days’ notice of the date of their appeal hearing.
Note:
For late applications for both Year 7 and Reception and appeals outside the normal admissions round, the hearing will take place no more than 30 school days after the appeal is lodged.
