Dear Parents and Carers
As you will be aware, the Government announced yesterday that the current Covid-19 social distancing restrictions and guidelines will have to be extended for a period of 4 weeks from Monday 21 June, until further review on Monday 19 July.
Unfortunately, this has left us with no choice but to cancel the Year 13 Leavers’ Meal on Thursday 24 June and Year 11 Prom on Friday 2 July. Both of these events were organised on the premise that current restrictions around social distancing would be lifted; we are now in a position where we are unable to run these events safely and in accordance to Government guidelines.
This is a decision we have no choice to make, however we are so very sorry that there will no doubt be disappointment across our Year 11 and 13 students given that we all were very much looking forward to these events. As a consequence of the cancellations, we will refund all students who have paid for their tickets as soon as possible.
I know this news is disappointing, but I hope that you appreciate the circumstances and that we must work to prioritise the safety of everyone during these challenging times.
