We are looking forward very much to the start of term, as we prepare to welcome new students into Year 7 and the Sixth Form, along with all other returning students. Please see the table below for the start of term arrangements for year 11 students:

The intention of this letter, therefore, is to provide some further detail regarding the times that year 11 students are required to be on site, and further information regarding some of our routines and logistical arrangements.
1. Induction Day: Wednesday 7th September
All students will return to the academy for an induction session with their form tutor on Wednesday 7th September, where they will be issued with their timetable and study file, as well as receiving a welcome back assembly and a session with the academic team to prepare for GCSE study. Students need to be on their assembly line on the Sports’ Hall Yard in readiness for a 08:45 start, and thus should endeavour to arrive at the academy at 08:40.

Students are required to wear their full academy uniform, and will not need to bring PE kit with them on this day. Please ensure that they pay particular attention to the Bede Academy Uniform policy with regard to jewellery and hair styles in readiness for their return, and that any summer piercings and haircuts are in line with expectations.
- Return to lessons: Thursday 8th September
Full timetable arrangements resume on Thursday 8th September for all students. They need to arrive for 8:25am, and must assemble on their designated tutor line, as outlined in the table above. Year 10 students will have their photograph taken on this day, and these will be available for parents/carers to purchase from Tempest Photography, should they wish a copy.
