Secondary learning from home

How should I manage my time when I am learning from home?

While you may not be able to stick to your normal routine, you’ll be expected to create a new routine at home which includes alternative ways to keep active. As tempting as it may be to only complete minimal work and not follow a routine, in the long run this will have a detrimental effect on your overall mood as well as leave you with large gaps in your learning which you may not be able to make up.

If you haven’t logged onto Google Classrooms and completed your work for 48 hours, the Academy will contact you and your parents to firstly check that you are Ok and secondly, if you are well enough to work to help you catch up with your work you have fallen behind with.

Not all work needs to be completed on Google Classroom, you can complete most assignments in your book or on lined paper and then just tick ‘Marked as Done’ on Google Classroom or upload an photo of the work you have done for your teacher to see.

Remember, if you have PE on your timetable you could go for a walk or complete a YouTube fitness class. Look on Google Classroom for ideas from your teacher.
