Table of Contents
If you “present” to a meeting rather than join you are met with the following choices: Chrome Tab, Your Entire Screen, Application Window.
I will show you the best option depending on use case.
Application Window Sharing
Power point (or any other program) cannot be in full screen if you want to present it to your Google Meet session. Change PowerPoint to windowed mode by following the screenshots.
Set Up Slide Show > Browsed by an individual (window)
Presenting the slide show will show it inside a window now as shown below.
Now that you have your presentation ready you need to select, Present > A window.
Choose the PowerPoint (or other program) that you want to share to the session.
The presented window will fit into your students/participants screen, try to resize it so that it roughly matches your own screen.
Google Chrome document
Prepare your Google slide document by using presenter view on Google Slides
Chrome tab sharing
If you want to present a Google document or any website, use the Chrome tab sharing feature. Present > A Chrome tab.
Now you need to select the tab you want your participants to see.
You will be notified of the shared tab both with a notification at the top and a blue logo on the tab being shared.
Below is an example of multiple tabs being open, only the Hello students tab is sharing its tab (with blue icon), the other tabs will not be shown.
