I am pleased to say that the Heart of Blyth Community Conversation is now live!. We would like to ask you to support us in getting this message out.
The online survey can be accessed via https://haveyoursay.northumberland.gov.uk/public-health/heart-of-blyth
The survey is aimed at anyone living, working, volunteering or who operates a business in Blyth.
How you can help?
Share the link to the survey via your email contacts, social media and websites. Here is a suggested message.
“We are supporting the Heart of Blyth project to reach as many people as possible who live, work or own a business in Blyth.
Living and working in a strong community affects all aspects of our lives from our health and wellbeing to our local economy and the environment. We have the opportunity to receive up to £300,000 from the Health Foundation to act together to strengthen our community. Blyth is already a strong and resilient town, but we know that you have the local knowledge and ideas about how we can work together to make our community even stronger. Please give us your thoughts and ideas via the online survey and share it with your networks. The survey is live until 19th April.
This information will be used to develop a Heart of Blyth Plan which we will present to national judges alongside 11 other areas in June, 5 areas will be selected to receive this funding to take their plans forward”
A leaflet containing the questions will delivered to almost 5,000 properties in the neighbourhoods surrounding the Town Centre, from Cowpen Quay, Croft, Hodgsons Road Estate down to Ridley Park, so you might receive one through your door! Anyone who hasn’t already asked for a supply of leaflets, please get in touch with email@example.com. For those of you who have already asked for a supply of leaflets, we will soon be in touch to organise a delivery.
Online Community conversations
So far, we have heard from Silx, Headway Arts, Northumberland Recovery Partnership, Miller and Wallace, The Talls Ships and Active Northumberland who will be holding online community conversations to ask the people they work with to respond to these questions. Other ideas are also in the pipeline.
We are finalising a telephone script for those of you who have telephone contact with the people you work with and this will be shared soon.
Further stakeholder meeting at the end of April.
Once we have received all the responses, we will be in touch to organise a further stakeholder meeting to tell you what we found out and to develop our plan.
If anyone has any further ideas of how they could support this conversation, can deliver this by the 19th April and need support or would like to partner with someone else, please get in touch.
I attach the microgrant application for any organisation who needs additional resources to do this.
We would just like to say thank you so much for all the support and enthusiasm you have shown towards this project so far.
